Making millions from a social media app could be just a 15 second video away.
At least that’s what happened for a choice few of TikTok’s most popular influencers.
Do you think they knew what they were getting themselves into when they started dancing to popular trending tracks on this little phone app?
We are in a new time and the old rules don’t apply. So much for needing an ivy league education in order to make a million dollar salary. Talk about confusing.
What can you say when your teenage daughter brings you this article and says.. but why should I go to college when I could make TikTok videos for a living?
So How much could an influencer make from posting videos on TikTok anyway?
It’s surprising for this being such a young app but the top small percentage of ultra hyped influencers make more than you would expect.
- Addison Rae Easterling : estimated $5 million last year
- Charli D’Amelio : 4 million
- Dixie D’Amelio: 2.9 million
- Loren Gray : 2.6 million
- Josh Richards : 1.5 million
- Michael Le 1.2 million
- Spencer X 1.2 million
- Zach King 41,000 per post
- Riyaz Afreen 35,000 per post
- BabyAriel: 32,000 per post
Charli D’ Amelio’s Net Worth in 2020 is estimated to be ~$5-10 Million
The 16-year-old TikTok celebrity Charli D’Amelio is out there growing a net worth in the millions. How? By being great at TikTok choreography.
D’Amelio joined TikTok in 2019 and quickly gained fame on her self-titled TikTok channel. She is a member of the TikTok group The Hype House and has collaborated with TikTok stars, including Chase Hudson & Maximo Rivano. D’Amelio became talented enough to attract 5 million followers in a matter of months.
Now with more than 80 million followers, (at the time of this article) her income comes from endorsements, merchandise, YouTube revenue share, and sponsored posts. She charges around $100,000 per sponsored post and earned $1 million for her Sabra Hummus Super Bowl in 2020.
Here’s how influencers make big bucks through collabs:
TikTok Influencers are Still Making a Huge Impact in Music
My words do come with a warning that these examples are not the norm. Breaking into an already saturated app requires great skill and something unique so don’t throw out those college plans yet.
Now you can start dreaming about becoming an influencer on social media however, don’t forget to get that back up education for when this ride crashes.
This kind of a good thing doesn’t ever last forever.
