I think it is a HUGE cake,
and one have to become a player in the industry to get and maintain his slice, by investing and re-investing his earnings and creating income for himself and others in the business or else one will fade and not be able to properly develop your fan base or get an investor who really believe in what you do. Because if you are not willing to invest in yourself then who will invest in you  @jahmeake

I think it is a HUGE cake,
and one have to become a player in the industry to get and maintain his slice, by investing and re-investing his earnings and creating income for himself and others in the business or else one will fade and not be able to properly develop your fan base or get an investor who really believe in what you do. 9The pros I would say was when I spent years trying to compose and mix music,
recording my songs and posting it on soundcloud and producers heard those songs and contacted me to record for them. Some of the challenges I face in the music as an artist are, getting radio airplay and bookings for shows. I am not from a musical family, neither do I have much links with DJs, selectors and promoters, and to put on top of that I reside in the rural area. But regardless I try to make the best out of the resources available to me.

An album requires more time, more work and more money to release.
On the other hand, a single is easier to put out, and singles help to keep an artiste’s current, but albums are very important also. it gave the audience a more thorough insight of the artist, while enlarging his catalog.

What I like about social media, is that it give a direct contact with fans,
able to get there feedback and comments. it also allows one to connect with the world at one finger tips and make promotion much easier and very cost effective

I always try to maintain a balance within myself,
as I know that everything and everyone had it or their time. So I try to keep focus on my task and goals, knowing that even if am not getting the attention of the people right now, my time will come.

I am an individual who meditates a lot,
so when I am confronted by challenges, which are inevitable. I try not to approach it with ignorance, but rather with a little common sense, knowledge is key and if am struggling with something, I can assured you someone else has struggled with similar situation, and conquered it also. So I try to seek more knowledge in the different areas in which I struggle and put those techniques into action . And that will turn around the situation for me.

1I live by a very ancient philosophy,
“As above, so below, as within, so without. So I never allow myself to be confuse by others when they point their fingers to say who are good from who are bad. As I know that all has the nature of good and evil within them, it is the ability of one to use one emotion to suppress the other. also I love to spend time with my family.

Producer Donavan Jermaine from Penthouse records.
I can remember back in days when I used to play sound system, his label used to put out some of the best music. I would love to reason with him about his strategy, and to learn the secrets behind producing great quality music.

My inspiration all began when I was about 8 yrs old,
I went to live with my Father who had a radio with a tape deck. He also had cassettes with artistes such as Dennis Brown, Charley Chaplin and sound systems such as Stone love, Kilimanjaro and BlackCat. But it was Charley Chaplin who inspired me the most. I started singing his songs for my friends. By the age of Thirteen I was playing sound system on the weekends at the local club in the community, that gave me a lot of experience about music labels, producers of the music, and the artistes. Those exposure motivate me to perform when concerts were held at school, and it was at one of those event I was spotted by a friend who told me about a studio.

“Natty Myth”

Natty myth is as the title say,
it is a myth about natty or Rasta, or in other words about me.
The song was written by me and produce by MSF music from France. The concept was designed to help liberate the mind of my people. This song highlight the things we can achieve if we live in unity, working together to achieve one goal.

Majority of the songs I’ve written,
it is the instrumental rhythm that gave me the melody, all I have to do is to come up with a concept and put the words together.

Well I have an EP, there is no release date for the record yet,
but! It is a great EP. It was produced by MSF music, it have some great songs on it. There are songs for the Ladies on it as well as cultural songs. You can expect a lot of positive vibe, real authentic reggae music. It is very significant to me, it is my debut EP and there are music on it to uplift the listener in a positive way. This EP showcase my versatility as an artist. It is a great feeling to know people are listening, and even when I come across some of my fans and they comment on how they relate to my music it is a great feeling. The reason why a launch date has not been set is that we are fine tuning the promotional side of things, as soon that work is finalize we will set a date to release.

Jahmeake Ma Thoth (3)

I resided in Fort Charles, St Elizabeth Jamaica.
And musically here, they have party weekly, but in terms of development for artistes, little or nothing. Artist have to develop themselves.
