Music business…
I love it! There’s truly endless possibilities. Anything could really happen at any point once you put yourself out there. It still takes a lot of hard work, it’s different from when I began this journey 15 years ago, but it still takes a great deal of passion and focus. The pros, are the fact that artists can self release/promote/record, everything that they can handle, it’s possible to be a self sustained artist. With everything, there are cons, I would say accessibility and over saturation are hard to overcome, but slow and steady is the idea. Do a little bit every day, whatever that looks like, and over time the results are usually going to be positive.

Interviewing: Ben Grant
Song name: Close To The Surface
Music Genre/ category : Rock/ Indie Rock

This is a song about facing life head on and not checking out. Life is hard, life is busy, sometimes it’s easier to take the easy path, to do whatever you can to not face reality. This is a song that explores those tensions and ideas and is a challenge to myself or anyone, to keep moving and to keep fighting to be honest and to be real.

New album…
I’m really proud and excited to share this record. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into this as we self produced and recorded this record. As an artist that can be a crippling experience, but also extremely rewarding if you are up for the challenge. It’s a collection of fun melodic pop songs, with loud distorted guitars. It’s a return to my 90’s rock n roll roots that pays homage to bands like Weezer and the Foo Fighters.

We’re from Atlanta, GA…
and we love the music scene here. So many amazing bands and lots of great venues that bands can play and try to meet new folks, or find some new bands.

I would love to have 5 minutes alone with…
Conor Oberst! One of my favorite songwriters. His uncanny ability to be brutally honest is something that you can hear and feel with every lyric in every song. I really admire how much he puts into crafting his music.
