What defines “Success” to you…
Success, for me is defined by a multitude of things: Working hard, educating yourself, learning, and reaching and applying new goals along the way, in pursuit of independence and most importantly, happiness . A man or woman who works towards something and achieves it with a moral means has found a degree of success. If I could write and perform music for a living, and help people as much as possible along the way, I think I would finally feel like I reached success. Because I know if I played my music for a living , and continued to help people whenever I could, then I would be happy with where my hard work had gotten me and, therefore, I’d feel successful.
What piece of music advice forever changed your way of thinking…
Never limit yourself to any particular genre.
I live in..
Lewiston Michigan currently, but I am from Findlay Ohio. The music scene in Ohio, growing up, was alive with diverse genres and local legends. We moved up here to Lewiston about 2 years ago because of the beautiful scenery northern Michigan has to offer, with its lakes, acres and acres of woods, and small town fellowship. My studio looks out at our back yard woods, and holds within it a certain majesty and magic, giving way to comfort in creation. The music scene up here is full of a lot of Metal, as it was back in Ohio, but there are many local songwriters around Petoskey MI that do a wonderful job performing groovy covers and entertaining crowds.
My music is….
the saving grace of my life. It channels my emotions in a way that keeps me from self-destruction, and/or a pessimistic way of life. Music is the vibration of our souls, it connects, it comforts, it relates, and it’s ALIVE with energy. The music I write is never limited, and it’s for everyone. I do not write anything unless I’m having a visceral response, completely organic, in relation to the song I’m writing. For me, MUSIC is LIFE.

This song is about…
introspection at the deepest of levels. Often times we are so distracted by things outside ourselves, that we forget to focus within. Psychedelics have been helping people in this way for a long time, and this particular song is about the questioning and shedding of ones self, and the enlightenment found underneath, and within. The Third Eye, often times called the ‘Eye of your mind’ is essentially the eye of your soul, or the portal with which your spiritual self is able to flow through to become relevant in ones life .
