I just want to create music that speaks to me and embodies my personality. For me, music is all about conveying the emotion that’s inside to the listener. It’s important to be proud of what you create.
I reside in Nashville, TN…
Nashville is a major music industry hub and creative center for many types of music. Nashville also features a large amount of live music venues, clubs, and bars. Most of the acts here play a lot of the same material(top 40 country) due to the fact they rely upon gratuities and tips to support themselves with. I don’t play that type of music, I play my own songs along with an eclectic selection of tunes that are my personal favorites, it works for me because I’ve never gone hungry.
Music business…
I tend to ignore the music industry, I am an artist not a businessman. I don’t possess any great marketing skills nor do I have any desire to fit into a select market-share or demographic. I have learned that if an artist lives for tomorrow and chases what is perceived as a “future” in music, then that artist will miss out on the greatest pleasure in life, today. I understand how the industry works so I tend to just do my own thing, It works for me.
I would love to have 5 minutes alone with…. my Dad. He was my best friend when he was alive. He knew more about life than anyone I have ever met, and it would take him less than 5 minutes to explain it to you.

”Things I Like “is a song about things that bring peace and simple self-awareness. The idea for “Things I Like” began as I thought of people I have met along my life’s journey. Each type of person described reminds me of actual people I have known and still know today. It is noteworthy that in “Things I Like”, I avoided talking about the things I don’t like, for after all, do they really matter, I think not.

which features the song “Things I Like”, can be summed up as simply my most personal expression of my life set to music. “HWY 59” defines who I am as an artist and a human being. It is a “life” record. I can’t elaborate on how “HWY 59” relates to others, but if anyone likes this album then they will like me.
