With our new lead vocalist from the Greater Atlanta Georgia area 15 year old Caitlin Rose Pereira” and returning Drummer Robert Chavez, we couldn’t be more happy with our new addition. At fifteen Caitlin is quite the talent. Caitlin is very focused and determined to elevate Bittersweet Collapse fans to another level.
You could expect a lot of meaning from my songs and the lyrics…
My goal is to share life experiences and to tell stories that show real feeling and that are quite relatable. I guess you could say I want to convey a message with every song. All together the album should be sad, happy, loving, everything to make an all together great story and experience. I’ll be marketing it so that anyone who is interested has the chance to listen. (Read more background from our last interview with Caitlin here. )
The Edge…
is about how there’s struggles and problems along the road but you just keep on picking yourself up and move on with what you need and want to do. I wrote this all over the place, just anywhere where it felt right or ideas came to me. When I recorded the song I just tried to make it as real and true to the meaning of the song as possible. I’m excited about the release of this song because my producer and I worked very hard on it and I’m hoping that people will enjoy it.
We actually just finished recording the video and it’s on YouTube right now, it keeps you interested and it was shot at a lake and a park. I’m the only one in it and it was recorded in October and November.
Well I actually care about…
a wide variety of things such as anti-bullying because I was bullied by multiple people and so were a few of my friends and I know that it can be life changing. I also try to strive to stop abuse and for people to stand up for themselves and to do something. I also know what that’s like and it’s no laughing matter. People are in pain everyday emotionally and physically over abuse and if a few heartfelt words and well made music can help then I will do all I can to make a difference. Also I care about awareness of depression, anxiety, equality, acceptance, and so much more. I’ve been through just about anything and I am willing to work hard to help people in need by spreading my music and being there for people.
What’s Ahead…
For November and December I will be working on a new song and a cover song. I will also be preparing to perform for the Driven Music Conference when it is rescheduled.
