I would say the music business is definitely a challenging adventure
to say the least and conquering challenges is fun for me so I can at least enjoy it for that. But, the business is definitely a love hate relationship just like with any thing dealing with passions. Since I’m always into the sports I’ll use the sports analogy. Most every professional player is out there playing the sport they love because thats what the truly love doing. But, then ask them about contract negotiations and the whole 9. Most will say it’s something they don’t necessarily enjoy because things can be so cut throat.

I would say the music business is definitely a challenging adventure
to say the least and conquering challenges is fun for me so I can at least enjoy it for that. But, the business is definitely a love hate relationship just like with any thing dealing with passions. Since I’m always into the sports I’ll use the sports analogy. Most every professional player is out there playing the sport they love because that’s what the truly love doing. The pros I have experienced

is the experience of making music itself and the things that come along with creating an art. You have the ability to create and give a message to influence others and bring people together. Also you have the ability to express anything, both positive and negative, in a creative way.

I feel that releasing both are necessary

because it allows the fans to really figure out who you are in all aspects. This can be done just based on the characteristics that singles and albums carry today. Singles are usually meant to be catchy, built to be played on the radio or danced to in the club. So if you want the fans to know how you are having fun, enjoying life, turning up and partying; let them know and allow them to experience the turnup with you in that single.

Albums on the other hand,
while they can still be single worthy, for the most part are more content driven. Songs can be a little slower and the message they can carry can be a little more heavy. Albums can also be a snapshot for what is currently going on in your life.

The biggest benefit of social media is right there in its name.
It’s social. You have the ability to be more intimate with fans and receive feedback on your music immediately. I’ve benefitted from the fact that the world through social media is so small now. I’ve been able to connect with people who live in the same city as me just as easy as it is from me to connect with some one in, Japan, Instanbul, the Ukraine, Australia, and everywhere else.

This is always hard question
because there are so many people I would like to speak with specialties in their fields such as, physics, mathematics, political sciences, and the works. However, since I do have to pick ONE. I would say the person would be a strong influential leader of this world like a Nelson Mandela. Especially in the climate that exist with race relations in the United States currently. I would love to pick his brain and hear about his opinions on the world, peace, government relations, etc. More and more people recognize everyday we need new leaders in this world to make a change for everyone. With Strength in numbers we can be our own leaders for change.

Personally in my music I do not feel a pressure
to be too trendy when making music. This is because I like to find a balance of riding the wave but also finding new waves to find and be that new trendsetter. It would be a complete lie if I said I did not listen to the new trendy sounds and pull influence from that. In order to be successful in a business you have to supply what is demanded by your potential clientele. That’s basic economics 101. However, in doing this you cannot lose yourself and forget your roots and what really inspired you.

My favorite inspirational quote is. “You will never ______.(fill in the blank)”
Obviously this is in reference to the individuals who do not see the same dream that you do and doubt your ability to achieve and accomplish this goal. This doubt that other people fester is one of the most inspirational things I can here. This is inspired by the way in which I was born. I was born premature, so naturally the medical outlook was not the greatest. My parents told me how doctors were telling them, I may never be able to do “this” or be able to do “that”. They did not just accept this and worked with me and for the most part I grew up without any complications or problems that doctors said I would. So naturally I am a fighter and hearing someone speak against me is going to be the greatest motivational factor.

I got my first exposure to music in elementary school
when I enrolled in band and played the snare drum. Then after that my cousin moved in with my family for a while and he was a fantastic piano player. So hearing him play at a young age inspired me to start learning from him. However, after this I got so involved into sports that I put the music down through out high-school and concentrated on that. Then came college, I was not able to make the collegiate teams at UCF and I needed a way to pass time. I soon met Self who lived in my same apartment complex. He already was involved in music and running Self-Inc. This was an easy match made in heaven, and he greeted me with, “The force is strong in this one…” He then took me under his wing as an apprentice type and we started defecating all over the competition. This was in 2012, and now we are here ! lol

Heart On My Sleeve

It’s about a “budding relationship”.

You know those special tingly feelings you get when you meet that special someone?!?! When you seem to lose control of your motor functions and you can’t think about anything or anyone else. Yea this is THAT song!:)

Originally the song started off as a track

I was creating for an artist. But, as anyone creative can relate too, a beautiful mistake happened that sounded really cool. But of course this wasn’t exactly the sound the other artist was looking for so I just set this bad boy aside to work on after the fact. Once I completed the track I passed it off to the big bro Self. Probably somewhere weeks before we had a conversation about love, relationships, messages sent to ladies in old-school music and all of that. So I’m not saying inspiration may have come from some of those conversations but at the same time I am not saying that did not 🙂 lol. A few days after I passed him the track, he came to me with the rough for Heart On My Sleeve. I could relate to it and it felt like he was reading my mind. From that point on we just worked to finish it to the point it is now.

You can expect variety from my music.
I say this for the simple fact that I am most heavily influenced by Hip-Hop and funk. I feel like I embody hip-hop. But that’s not always the music I make. I shoot to make good music period and this leads the hip hop influence into fusing with other genres. One week I might release a track that will have all the traps booming. Then the next week I might make something that sounds like Hans Zimmer himself made it. This really is an adventure that I am going on myself to continue to grow and develop my sound. Staying stagnant in one place and not being able to evolve is an equation for failure.

“To Be Continued”
is the next EP set to release July 25. You can expect to have a good time listening to this. It’s up beat and something you can enjoy with your whole family, dance with your friends in the car during a road trip and also vibe out with in the club atmosphere. While also being a party in your ears. It does provide inspiration to not let things keep you down. Go out and take control of your life enjoy it as best as possible cause everything will be okay, your story is not completed, it is indeed, “To be continued”

I live in Orlando, FL.
The music scene in the city is very diverse by nature with Orlando being such tourist driven city. But I still feel like the music scene has soooo much untapped potential here for all genres of music. I do believe that Orlando can once again be one of those music meccas like it was in the late 90’s when the likes of N’Sync, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and Eminem were making their way through here.

There are a variety of places to go to enjoy music.
Everything from Latin Clubs, Hip-Hop Clubs, EDM Clubs, coffee shops for spoken word or acoustic talents. There is literally every type of platform

I love sports, especially football,
so if I am not making music, you will probably find me in the gym doing something athletic related and feasting on the competition.
