It feels daunting to undergo a career in entertainment.
We never know what to expect and there’s this huge pressure to make something that everyone will love. Instead we made a bunch of stuff that we love and now we’re just hoping for the best.

Our “pros” list is comprised solely of people.
We’ve met some of the most fantastic people since we started putting on shows. We can’t imagine any of it being possible without the army of engineers, tech heads, booking agents, managers, bar tenders, bands, and fans that we’ve met since. Every new venue we play is like meeting a family member we never knew we had. We have never seen a force bring people together quite like music.

Our “cons” list is made up of old cliches
about being a starving musician. That and time constraints.

We have learned that resilience and patience can turn struggles into triumphs.
Staying positive is sometimes a struggle, so we take solace in the small things, like hearing from a new fan or booking a show at a new venue.

Justin: If I could have 5 minutes alone with anyone currently alive
it would probably be Trent Reznor or Dave Grohl. I’ve always been a “do-it-yourself” kind of guy so when I see the multi-instrumentalists write, compose, and play an entire album it just blows me away. I really admire their ability to pull a vision from their head and make it tangible through their own efforts.

Wes: I would like to spend time with my music mentor, Joey Trogdon,
who passed away several years ago. He was the reason I play music today. For many years, he worked with me even when I knew he was frustrated with me for messing up all the time. I would like to tell him how far I’ve went in my music career and how promising everything is looking.

Randy: I would love to spend 5 minutes alone with Judy Stakee.
She is a legendary artist development person who launched the careers of some really heavy hitters in music, including Sheryl Crow, Gavin Degraw and Michelle Branch. She also works with some prolific songwriters. I’ve seen a bunch of videos from her web series, where she interviews her big-time LA songwriter friends. I want to pick her brain and get some career advice from her.

Sarah: Wow, there are so many people who inspire me.
I guess if I had to pick someone I would go with Kari Jobe. Kari has been my musical inspiration for a long time. She has an amazing voice and she’s so sweet and down to earth with everyone she meets; I don’t think I’ve ever seen her without a smile. Her music is very uplifting and gives you a sense of hope. I aspire to be like that.

Charlie: Dave Grohl…he’s a hero to me no doubt….
started on drums and is now a guitarist which is something I’ve always wanted to do…be known for music!!! No matter the instrument….and I would love to know some of the things that inspired him to be the musician he is today.

Wes, Randy, Sarah, and Justin all met in ensemble class at GTCC.
We were all trying to find musicians to play with and just happened to be in the right class at the right time. Charlie was a well-known local drummer who we reached out to join us.

O.L.E

Randy: “O.L.E.” is the essentially the song that brought the band together.
I wrote it in 2009 for one of my friends, but I didn’t really use or perform it until 2015, when I played it for our ensemble class. They liked it, so Wes and I reworked some of the parts to make it fit our style, and it soon became a crowd favorite. The song is about the longing and desperation that is familiar to anyone who has ever been in a long-distance relationship.

Our new EP is a raw entity of us exposing our guts.
It’s passionate, vulnerable, and genuine. The sound is fueled by our love for 90’s music, punk rock, and cool effects. I feel that what makes it great is the same thing that makes all art great; it’s a piece of us.

Most of us live in Greensboro, North Carolina and grew up in or around the triad area.
Greensboro seems to be a musical hub of the east coast. A lot of touring bands come through this area and in some occasions, move here to have a central home base on the east coast and a straight shot to the west coast (I 40). We love our music scene here. With so many genres of music to choose from and so many talented artists, there is so many choices for music enthusiasts every single night.
