and the artists are no long the ones with popular status. It became an image game. I miss when you became popular simply because you were a great singer, music creator and/or performer. But i guess that era actually ended just before I was even born. Bring back real music i say! Thank God for social media and the internet. Pros would be affecting people’s lives in a positive way
by speaking my truths in my music and performing as much as possible. Cons would be the competitive vibe between fellow artists and the struggle to make a financial living while maintaining an authentic artistic career.
I focus on gratitude,
I give back in my community through volunteering and empowering the youth. I love music, but it isn’t all that I am.
Buddha.
I desire, more than anything, to evolve and turn back to the light from where we all came.
My career started in church singing solos in from of our small church
in Kailua, Hawaii. Then in 1999 i entered a high school talent competition and won! Then i signed my first record deal with a local record company called Quiet Storm Records by one of the judges of the talent competition.

My sophomore album was released on August 1st 2016 and it’s entitled we RISE.
It is a blend of afrobeats, dancehall reggae, hip hop and R&B. It’s definitely a much more accurate representation of who I am as an artist than the first album was. I call it Africa meets Hawaii. I worked with Legendury Beatz on 4 tracks on this album. They are the #1 African pop (afrobeatz) producers in the world. We found each other via social media and worked together for the love of each other’s music. I will be continuing to work this them next year in their studio in London for my next project.

I live in Honolulu, Hawaii
where Reggae and Hawaiian music are the 2 most popular genres of music. There is a ton of love music here. The culture is rich with the arts in both contemporary and traditional styles.
The Mai Tai bar at ala moana mall is a must to see live local music 7 days a week and it’s always free cover.
