Starr-Trynea Qe’Whann Reeves born January.9,1986 in Saint Louis Mo. to Katherine Letreece Brown and Eddie Scott with her father being a singer in the early 1970’s. Since the age of five Starr would go around the house her entire childhood writing songs on paper and singing them back to herself. By the age of nineteen Starr began singing in church choirs seeing that she felt she really didn’t have the best gospel voice. It was at this point that Starr began working with her very talented family one of them being her son since the age of nine who one day came home and told his mother that he wanted to become a rapper. So Starr-Trynea was so excited by this seeing her passion for music she began immediately contacting record labels to get him into the recording studio.

One day after to school she took him to a well known record label in Saint Louis her Son Jymius B.K.A Lil J-Moe at the time was asked by the C.E.O of the label to rap a song for him and he was so impressed with Lil J-Moe that he signed the artist on the spot and stated that he would allow Lil J-Moe to come and record his first demo there at no exspense. Lil J-Moe started one week later recording his first song. After about two weeks Starr called to schedule a second studio session for her son but due to circumstances unknown the label had been shut down. Starr-Trynea was determined not to give up so gaining knowledge that her baby sister went to school with a friend that stated her father was a music producer. Starr-Trynea then contacted him to have her son complete his demo under this music producer but there would be a $1200 fee for this in which the producer would also write the songs as well as record them. Upon completion of the demo Starr-Trynea hired an Entertainment Attorney in order to shop her son Lil J-Moe a record deal. The Attorney stated he sent off the demo various place but never recieved a reply back.

Some years had now passed and Starr worked with neighborhood artists with the rap music getting several of their songs on the local radio stations. In addition her two youngest children where also in church with her Son playing the drums and her daughter doing praise dancing and singing in youth choirs. Starr-Trynea also took the time to send her youngest daughter to acting & modeling school in which Jamila graduated with high honors and while atttending school her headshot was submitted to almost Famous Magazine where her photo was feautured. While her oldest son known as Lil J-Moe after going away to college was now known as Geekboi. Every weekend Geekboi would drive home to throw college parties in Saint Louis. At this point and time he also began to work on new music and came up with a track that made number 1 in his home town on a compilation mixtape with DJ Sir Thurl 4-20 Geekboi began to perform numerous places around his city with this song. Having to return back to college slowed his artist works down a so he decided to focus on college. Starr-Trynea kept herself busy working with her nieces in which one of them could sing really well and the other could dance so Starr-Trynea along with her sister felt that is was time for her nieces to audition so the two of them loaded up their van and drove to the Apollo Theatre in New York City upon their arrival the youngest niece danced to Michael Jacksons’ song scream and did such a great job that she was offered the chance to come back to New York for thirty days to compete on television. This appeared to be a very good opportunity but due to them not having any relatives or friends to reside the high cost of New York and to reside there for thirty days seemed impossible so Starr-Trynea and her sister did not return. Very Saddened by this Starr-Trynea always being a believer in God continued to work in her church with music.

One day after speaking to the Lord at her lowest point ever in life she was now about to get into the studio in mass efforts of creating a sound that would not only get the younger generations attention but at the same time be very meaningful in spreading the word of God and that is when she became a Christian Hip Hop Artist and invited her son Jymius to join in with her in making a change so after the two put a three song demo together they submitted their materials to Tate Music Group in which they were noticed off of a particular music track. One day after completion of the album Starr’s Producer called her up with a particular beat that after only twenty minutes Starr had completed the basics of the song. The day had come this was Starr-Trynea’s first R&B song that she recorded and came out of the studio with a major hit.

Which Way U Gonna Love Me…
is a song about hooking up with someone with no strings attached ,having fun then heading back to the person
that you love. I wrote this song due to a past experience in which I encountered.

The significance of my album is…
to inspire others to act on their emotions an not to be afraid of situations that may arise in life due to the fact we grow from our experiences. I will be marketing my album on various social media sites. I currently have a music distribution deal on an album that will be released nation wide on November 24, 2015

I reside in Saint Louis Mo…
and right now the music scene here is somewhat of what I would relate to as being a bit shallow due to the fact we don’t have any major record labels.

I feel great about the music business…
just recently my music producer after me recording ” Which Way U Gonna Love Me “shared his thoughts with me pertaining to my music and his stated Starr some people want it but u got it. On a daily basis I wake up with the mindset of what must I make today to gain more momentum in the music industry.

The perks of social media today is…
that it gives aspiring artists such as myself to get their music out to the world. I feel an ongoing challenge in my town is the ability to be heard that is why I spend everyday on the internet trying to gain more ways & ideas of being heard.
I feel that releasing singles verses an album is…
very beneficial due to the fact each song is being played at it’s on time in which in my perspective creates a stronger music presence.
My marketing strategy is…
to don’t stop & don’t quit and take any big are small music connection and run with it because you never know where it may lead.
I would like to have 5 minutes with music…
producer Timberland by me having my own underground record label Starkat Records along with other artists I would share my music ideas with him in addition to letting him hear my music that I feel would speak for itself.

Music trends…
I would just be myself that would set my own trend unlike trying to be like someone already in the music industry that has their own trend.

I am most afraid of…
never being acknowledged by a major record label.
Success is…
once a particular music track that I submitted to Tate Music Group back in April of this year was noticed. We were given the opportunity to bring forth a nationwide album.

My overall goal is…
to sign on with a major record label.

3 ways I stay focused on my goal…
1.) Daily online internet presence
2.) Gaining @ least 100 fans per day
3.) Staying focused on my music career daily and not allowing any stumbling blocks to detour me from going forward.
