The music business is tough but amazing…
It is an industry where you get to devote your career, time, sweat and energy to your art and get to share that art with an endless number of people. That’s the great part. Of course, the flip side is the struggle–to survive financially, gain notoriety, and the constant race against time as you try to maintain all of the commitments in your life that are essential to survival while you struggle to make it in the business, while still finding time to hone your craft. A lot of people stress the fierce competition as a negative and there is a lot of that to be sure, but I think there is room for all of us. I also believe there is a market for everyone’s music; you just have to find it.

Song name:There’s the Door

Music Genre/ category :Folk
I wrote this song during a time when my now husband and I took a long break from dating each other-4 years! before finally getting back together and getting married. At the point when I wrote the song, he was trying to get back together and I genuinely thought he had two chances-slim and none! But we were married two years later, so what did I know?

On my EP…
you can expect songs that are fun, honest, and relatable. The vocals and instrumentation compliment each other perfectly and leave you singing these songs in your head! For people who have followed my music for a long time, they get to hear new versions of some of their favorite Cyndi Washburn songs. All three songs have really evolved on this record.

I live in Nashville, Tn…
Everyone knows Nashville is great for country music, but what many people don’t realize is that Nashville is THE music city for all genres of music!! From hip hop to classical to folk to country, Nashville has plenty of it! There are literally live music venues on every corner. Audiences are supportive and the environment is incredibly nurturing and inspiriing.

I would love to have 5 minutes alone with….
I would love 5 minutes alone with Jewel. She has been my songwriting hero pretty much from word one, and I admire her showmanship so much as well as who she is as a person.
