“Fear no man but God’. I am not afraid. Fear will only get in my way, slow me down .In fear, you panic and hesitate which results in the old, ‘what could have been, what might have been, what should have been.’ You need to have courage in this industry.”-@bradas_ink

GETTING TO KNOW DOGG FATIGA
by Jacqueline Jax host of A.V.A Live Radio

Challenging himself…
I challenge myself by taking real steps toward my big dreams. Small steps, big steps whatever it may be REAL steps make moves.

Biggest fear…
‘Fear no man but God’. I am not afraid. Fear will only get in my way, slow me down .In fear, you panic and hesitate which results in the old, ‘what could have been, what might have been, what should have been.’ You need to have courage in this industry.

Success…
starts with a goal then action. Success is determined by the results thereof as long as the result is positve, thats a win to me.

3 challenges taken to achieve success…
1) I’m a spiritual person. I read the bible on daily so I try to adhere to it as I can as an imperfect man. Theocratic study has given me a real purpose in life. It reflects in my music no regrets there.
2) I’m a knowledge seeker .I read, listen, reason, research and share. This helps with my music writing. I try to be open minded imagination helps a lot too.
3) I live & let live. I do not judge for we all have but one judge.

Bio:
Dogg fatiga is from La mercy Durban, South Africa. He started rapping back in 1996 under the alias of Wild Cat. He became known as Dogg Fatiga in 1998. Fatiga is derived from the root word ‘fatigue.’ After graduating from Maltr’e audio technology school he put together his own recording studio and started ‘Bradas Ink’ of which is a concept by him and his 3 brothers.

Starting in music…
I grew up around music at home, school, Sunday school, church etc..I was very much involved in it and it became a hobby. When I was around 13, I learned that I could turn this hobby I love into a career. I was sold.

Early in the Morning…
The song originated with my late brother Carl and I as a Challenge by him. I won that challenge. Then wizzhzd laid down the bass line. I did the rest.(the writing, recording, mixing & mastering.) The song is an optimistic take on life. To motivate and inspire.
It was the first song to be done in our studio so I wanted to share the optimism I had that finally our studio was ready to start recording.

Significance of the music…
my music is significant because I’m not trying to be someone else who has already made his mark in music, that way at best I will be number 2. I’m giving you me there is no other Dogg Fatiga out there. No one can be better than me at being Dogg Fatiga. I want to make my own mark too. Everyone has a right to an opinion and my music normally reflects my opnions on different subjects.

Living on South Africa…
I live in Durban,South Africa. Compared to the international scene, its growing and growing fast. My hobbies in this area are music, movies, sports and video games.

The music industry…
is so unpredictable and I love it. I always have to keep up with more & more artists that are able to handle the business side themselves. This gives them more creative and authoritative latitude on their craft. If you realy love or want something, pit falls will only slow you down but not stop you

I would love to spend 5 minutes with…
In music, particularly hip-hop, I’ll say Dr Dre. He came in the scene in ’84’ & 31 yrs later he is bigger than ever. He is timeless as an artist and producer and his productions are also timeless.  I will be listening to his new release “Compton for years to come.

Music trends…
I believe in being current and keeping up but I dont follow trends yet. I am open minded enough to learn from them. To illustrate, auto-tune like other processors is used to help with the quality of one’s recording. Keeping up means knowing what is new, how to use it and when.

The creation of the music…
I
have a national certificate in sound engineering so i program my own beats but I also have a buddy I meet at Sound school who has made me a few beats. I also did a few with Wizzhzd,Carl (my late brother) and my cousin.
