Band Name: Emme Lentino
Message from the Artist:
Hello friends, I am Emme Lentino, a singer/songwriter living in New Zealand. I started performing in my hometown of Salem Oregon from 6 years old and started composing my songs from 10 years old. I love writing music from my heart, and I’ve been thrilled to have my songs featured in a variety of daytime television shows such as ABC’s One Life to Live and All My Children, and even a Victoria’s Secret National Ad. I also enjoy acting and had the amazing experience of playing Lucille Ball in an off-Broadway show, which I loved. I moved to New Zealand several years ago after falling in love, and have now made this beautiful country my home.

Song name: Drive All Night
Music Genre:: Pop Alternative
Drive All Night is all about summer fun with friends. I’ve always loved road trips. The magic of getting in the car and just driving and blasting that radio as loud as possible! I have such fun memories of a road trip years ago – just me, my guitar and a couple of good friends. There were times we drove up to 16 hours to our next destination, and we lived on coffee, great music and lots of laughs. I wanted to capture that feeling of freedom and joy in a song and to write a song that people could sing along with me.

I was born in the US, but I live in New Zealand!
Most of my time is spent either playing my guitar or piano, writing songs, rehearsing and recording. I love to spend lots of time in nature, it feeds my soul and creativity. The beauty and nature in New Zealand give me the inspiration to write my songs. In between all that, I love connecting with my amazing supporters and fellow artists on social media.
Musically there’s such a variety of artists I enjoy listening to, I love the uplifting and inspiring messages by Lauren Daigle and Rachel Platten. I have so much admiration for Dolly Parton, she’s charming, kind, smart and strong. And P!nk is someone I admire for her strength and individuality. I also enjoy listening to Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks, The Police, Norah Jones, and so many others.
But mostly I’ve been influenced by life, my experiences and the amazing people I have met along the way. I’ve spent a lot of time teaching and mentoring kids, and I have been moved to write songs that uplift, motivate and encourage them to dream.

When did you know that this was the right path for you?
Music has always been a part of my life. From the time I was very young, my parents brought me up listening to a wide range of music. Then when I was a teen, I received a music scholarship to Seattle Pacific University. From there I joined the Missoula Children’s Theatre and traveled to 30 states. So music and performing have always been at the center of my life.
What do you like most about what you do?
I love waking up excited to connect with listeners from all over the world. Hearing that my music makes a difference in their lives makes me so happy! I also love the opportunity I have to work with some amazing people. The musicians who worked with me on my ep’s are extremely talented artists with hearts of gold. I’ve co-written songs Siedah Garret who wrote ‘Man in the Mirror’ for Michael Jackson, and she is just the most awesome lady. I feel so blessed to have worked with, and made friends with such wonderful people.
What do you most hope to accomplish with your influence?
I want to reach out to people through my music and let them know they are loved and to help them find their light and shine. I’ve been through hard times and I know what it’s like, so I want to empower folk to be able to pick themselves up from the most trying and difficult times in their lives, to not give up, and know that there is always hope.
What is the biggest obstacle you have faced in your career, and how did you overcome it?
Oh wow, as I said, I’ve been through my share of difficult times and obstacles. A few years ago I tragically lost my husband to a rare form of cancer which he battled for 15 months. Writing music is my outlet to get through dark days, and there were many of those. I was devastated when my husband was given terminal status, and that’s when I penned “Seasons of Life”. I found comfort in writing songs to uplift others. Music can be very healing, and I am encouraged by listeners who write to thank me for the lift they get from my music when they’re going through difficult times.

What do you want people to remember most about you and your career?
My mission with music is to uplift, empower and bring hope and love to the masses. Encourage and shine a light. So I hope people will remember me and my music as spreading love, positivity, and kindness.
What are you most looking forward to this next month?
I have so many exciting projects! I’ve just released my latest ep, “summer this, summer that” and I look forward to sharing my new songs with everyone. I also have another project I’m working on something which I call “Project X”, so stay tuned to hear all about that soon!
