Finishing up my EP “Never Too Late” for a late summer release….
I like to describe my music as a blend of Pop and R&B with a splash of Dance elements. I think if given the chance, people will love what they hear! This EP was a labor of love. I had been through two indie labels over the years with some spotty highlights, then on my own trying to perfect the right sound that defined me. All the while working with my mentor/collaborator Angelo “DOC” Velasquez in NYC. He’s been a big influence on my career, as well as helping me shape my musical style.
I’m currently living in Burlington,Ontario in Canada…
but was originally born and raised in Queens, NY. Right now the music scene in Toronto/Burlington is pretty robust. There are definitely quite a few avenues for bands and artists to showcase their talents.
Music business…
For sure it’s not an easy business. But if you have the right people around you, you can find success. One of the pros I’ve experienced is meeting and collaborating with some the great people (artists,producers, etc), and creating a lasting bond. Also the satisfaction of performing is like no other. A con that stands out to me when I started and even still somewhat today is the notion that coming from an Asian background, I’m taken less seriously. Most of the time though, I let my music and performances speak for themselves.

Music Genre : Pop/R&B
Show Out is essentially about finding the one by chance, and showing her how you feel versus telling her. It was a fun process writing this track with my long-time collaborator Angelo “DOC” Velasquez (@docknowsmusic) The creative process for this one was smooth and flowed easily, which was a plus, as some songs take more than one session to complete.

Bruno Mars. He is an extremely talented individual, creatively and musically. You can see the hard work, dedication and persistence in ever heard does. It would be amazing to collaborate with him someday.
