Music Business..
My personal experience in the music industry has been mostly a positive one. My starting point of recording my debut EP with Sche Eastwood, CEO of Immortal Inc, was a strong introduction and the progress has been consistent since. I’ve journeyed from not being on any social media sites to having influential business contacts nationally, in the UK, and even Cambodia.
With the advances in technology the focused artist has more control and resources than ever before. I come from very humble beginnings so I make the most of what is accessible to me. When I look at my story objectively, I’ve been extremely fortunate in both the personal relationships I’ve developed and the response from my growing fan base.
I currently reside in Memphis…
a city with a long historical record in the music industry. The music scene in Memphis is interesting because the ratio of artist to fan is unbalanced. Open mics are more likely to be filled with competing artists versus fans looking for new music to enjoy. Memphis is a difficult city of much adversity, but this condition inspires devoted artists such as myself to succeed.
Song name: Secure
Music Genre: Hip-Hop/Rap
Secure is a love song detailing the growth of a young man lacking confidence. The protagonist matures both individually and in his views towards his woman. The first verse represents young love whereas the second verse represents a mature balanced relationship. I first created the song as part of my songwriter showcase series on YouTube where I demonstrate my versatility as an artist. However, my team convinced me to use the song officially so here we are. Special thanks to Russell and Ryan for inspiring me to utilize the song.

My debut album “daWicKedwAys & Softer Shades” is due to hit this summer…
Since this will be my first full length official project, I made it a priority to reflect myself as a person primarily. My music in general focuses on artistic quality first, so even when I venture into different genres and topics I ensure the standard is something I can be proud of. This album is something I’ve envisioned since middle school, long before I made the commitment to pursue a career so the project will hold a special place in my heart forever.

I would love to have 5 minutes alone with K-Rino, a lyrical legend from Houston. I admire his persistence, consistency, and longevity with an impressive career that is still in the making. As an independent artist to see the amazing example K-Rino and the SPC collective have set is something I’m eternally grateful for. There are many artists and people I respect, but K-Rino is my number one pick for a sit down.
