I had the privilege of recording this song and a few others on this particular album in Nashville at the Castle Studios with some well known musicians who made the song even better musically. It was a great experience for me to record there.

The music business today…
has exploded beyond what we have seen in history, especially with so many Indie artists and the ability to share your own music via YouTube, Facebook, etc. I also love the ability to connect with some really amazing musicians that have caused me to rise higher and get better. The challenges or cons that I have experienced is getting enough momentum to grow my fan base and thereby create enough income to sustain my business. It seems like there are waves – times of growth with gigs and CD sales or downloads, and then there can be months or even a year of slow and at times painful results. I need a breakthrough in this area! Yet, most true musicians know that it is something you just can’t get away from even in slow times – in your blood kind of thing.

I wrote this song out of a deep desire to see Love heal the brokenhearted and also bridge together the gaps in people with all the disunity and even rage in the world today. Because of my own story and need for so much healing of my heart, it’s what motivates me to write a lot about healing and love.

I have recorded 5 albums of original songs, the first three I had the privilege of working with Allen Stone as producer, who actually co-wrote my 3rd album with me, “You Found Me”, out of which one of the songs ‘Where has Love Gone?’ was produced into a music video and earned Best Music Video at the International Awareness Film Festival in Los Angeles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRL3thJQsIE The video was a difficult but important awakening to the reality of sex trafficking in our own backyard, in the U.S.
This specific song featured here “Let Love Rain Down”, is from my 4th album, “Songbird” which was dedicated to the young women who are never heard from again because of the chains of human trafficking, specifically sex slavery. The song was written out of a desire to see love reign and ‘rain’ down stronger than everything that divides us in this world. What more evidence of love growing cold or disappearing than to have grown men use children and young women for that purpose?
Since then I recorded my recent album, Where I Belong, which was released in December 2016. The album is an inspirational compilation of original songs that are centered on God’s faithful love. I recorded it here in the Seattle area at Rain on Me Studios.

the music scene here is like, WOW! Most people know that this area has produced amazing musicians. There are tons of music festivals in the summer and lots of concerts and events all year round with all kinds of music and genres.
The other person would be Stevie Nicks – I love the mysteriousness of Fleetwood Mac’s sound and Landslide is one of my most favorite songs ever (:
