I wanted to bring back the essence of real Hip Hop. I wanted raw rap mixed in with a little storytelling and then I thru in a couple party songs and ended the album on a more serious note. I took my time selecting each track.
Afghanistan …
Well I currently serve in the US Army and I am deployed in Afghanistan but I was born and raised in Washington DC. There is a lot of different types of music in DC from hip hop, pop, jazz, and r&b but DC will always be known for the Go-Go music.
I can honestly say that there’s a real challenge making things happen in music while I’m so far away. I have to think about staying on US time for my promotions and carefully plan internet radio interviews for when I can actually make them happen. But where there is passion, anything is possible.

I have a love/hate relationship for the music industry. Mainstream music is pushed so hard by the major corporations that liking new music is a option but listening to it, whether its good or bad, is mandatory.
