GETTING TO KNOW NAT BERHANU

I am still learning about this new music industry…
WWW has changed everything and anyone from anywhere can become a music star now. But the flip side of that is that sometimes I think that I am just a drop in the ocean. That makes me want to use my talent more and more. Indie artist can have it good or not so good. It is a life I have chosen to live and I want to go all the way. The negative side of it is music piracy and the disrespect musicians are getting because of it.

The story goes far back as the 80’s and then late 80’s when I was in the first year of college. The movie Tom Cruise starred in “Risky Business’, had a lot to do with it. It was at that time the coolest thing I’d ever seen besides Eddie Murphy movies.
Then in 89 I took College Writing one semester. I wrote a story about parents who went on vacation in Europe. Although it didn’t happen, the story is about the party I had in the house and mom and dad coming home early finding us trashing the house. Something to that effect. Obviously the movie House Party in early 90.s contributed to the track as well. Also we had a lot of great House Parties in college that I can not forget to this day. I recorded it just like I have done to hundreds of tracks previously. But I did not know how fun, and great it was till I listened to it over and over again.

ecstatic from beginning to end. It is Instrumental. Apart for couple of songs which have voices in which I composed the melody. I was reaffirmed about what I thought about the album when I received great reviews. It is fun, happy music. It is a dance album, party festive album.
I would love to have 5 minutes alone with….
The three Icons I admired have all passed away. Michael Jackson, Prince & 2pac. Still there are couple who I’d love to meet. Sade, Snoop Dog. There are so many. But the ones I like to meet is the ones that gave me a lot of hope when they decided to follow me. ChuckD & Pam Grier. I respect for them and have a lot of love for them. Two powerful artists. Then I just found out Scarlet Johannson follows me in Instagram. That was just it. I have now become a star. I am known in the HQ of entertainment industry. Someone knows me out there and I hope they grab me quick.
