This is also difficult to answer, but it’s a safe bet to say eventually being able to support myself fully on my “music career” would be my definition of success. It’s difficult to put a monetary value on success but it would be a terrific validation.

What defines “Success” to you..
This is also difficult to answer, but it’s a safe bet to say eventually being able to support myself fully on my “music career” would be my definition of success. It’s difficult to put a monetary value on success but it would be a terrific validation.

What piece of music advice forever changed your way of thinking..
I’m taking an online course by Hans Zimmer right now and he has a really nice quote: “Reality is the enemy of Imagination.” Not only do I consider this to be music advice, but it’s also something everyone goes through as an artist dealing with everyday life and growing pains.

I live in…
Arlington Virginia aka the DC metropolitan area (Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland). Usually if someone asks me where i’m from i’ll have to say DC because no one has really heard of Arlington before. It’s only 5-10 minutes outside the nations capital.In it’s infancy I guess. This place has changed since I was younger. Lived here all my life and even went to college in-state. Most of the areas have been destroyed or are in the process of being rebuilt due to the changing demographics revolving around income & job growth. This means more potential real estate that will hopefully house new music venues. Should be exciting to watch as this happens.

Music Genre:: Electro House

Is “a lot” a cliche answer? It’s best to say it’s an interpretation of what I was going through at different stages in life while I was working on it. Struggling to find a good work life balance between other hobbies and interpersonal relationships all went into influencing its overall sound. Hopefully some of this can be felt by the listener as the tone shifts throughout different sections of the song. Took maybe 4 months from start to finish which is way too long now that I look back. Most of my time during those months was learning how to translate what I heard in my head into Ableton.

Listen to the Album:

My music is…
definitely a work in progress. It’ll probably stay in this stage for a little while until my technical skills catch up to my imagination. Other than that it’s probably safe to say it’s an extension of myself as other artists could also relate. I’ve grown up around music but never really thought of it as a hobby that could (now i’m proud to say would) eventually earn me an income, no matter how much this will end up in the long run. This was never really important to me based on my formal education.Not sure what my hours on different platforms such as spotify or apple music would be… but i’ve been listening to music 24/7 for the past 1-2 years. Mostly different genre’s as it helps me shift gears through my daily routine. Being exposed to all genre’s helps me influence what i’d like to make in terms of mood, themes, and settings for all types of listeners.
