GETTING TO KNOW SARAH C

I’ve been in the industry for a while and over time I’ve been able to develop amazing relationships with people who have become an important part of my team. As well as doing live shows regularly, I’m focusing on pursuing film placement for my songs and building my online following. I know how important new music is to my fans so I do have more currently in the works. Keep an eye out for what’s coming up next.
Music business..
I love what I do and being apart of such an amazing community. I get to do what I love and have created a successful career out of it. It has led me to work with and meet some amazing people. I’ve been fortunate to sing for superstars like Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon that was definitely a career highlight. What I love most about what I do is getting the opportunity to create music that effects people, touches them and inspires them to follow their own dreams and never give up!
What I don’t like about the industry is the superficiality especially with reference to women. We are expected to look and act a certain way and I don’t like the ageist mentality we have as a society with women who create music at a more mature age, it shouldn’t matter. What I dislike most of all is the lack of support you sometimes receive from your peers and the dishonesty of some of the people you meet in this industry that promise the world and deliver nothing or see an opportunity to make a quick buck.
My Safety…
is a song about being constantly disappointed and let down by someone over and over again (I’m sure most of us can relate to that) and getting to a point where you say enough is enough and having the strength to walk away from someone who just isn’t capable of giving you the safety and love that you need.
My EP “Fearless” is…
definitely written to be inspiring and challenges the listener to think about not only their own lives but about the world we live in and the state of humanity at the moment. Each song is very personal to me; they are my perspective on life, love and other stories and they all have their own unique message. The title track “Fearless” is about going through the hardest of life’s experiences, acknowledging that you are not perfect but coming out the other side a stronger, wiser and better version of yourself.
I would have loved to have had 5 minutes alone with Amy Winehouse…
I just love her voice and her unique way of expressing herself . She was such an old soul and such a unique artist and it seems that when it came to her music she wasn’t afraid to share her story with the world, which can be such a personal and frightening thing to do. The hurt, the pain, the torture, the joy it’s all there in her music and in her voice, its raw its honest and authentic. You can really relate to what she is feeling through her lyrics and hear it in her velvet voice.

About the Artist…
Melbourne Singer Songwriter Sarah C, possesses a combination of ferocious talent, dynamite energy and an extremely unique, powerful and soulful voice.
