GETTING TO KNOW SCOTT DEAN

It’s really important to believe in yourself. I like to focus on knowing that we are all here to accomplish something. This song is very unique to my sound but we worked on it for 2 years and I’m finally very excited to be finalizing the music video.

The City Falls..
This was the first song to be recorded for the album ‘Neon’. We initially set out to record an EP featuring this track and soon after snowballed into a full album taking a year to record.
I’ve worked really hard at making this vision come to reality. The song is unique to my sound with the addition of falsetto but I’m really happy with the result. I’m hoping to have the Music Video out by February or March. It’s important that I get things just right so we are filming a few more scenes and should be editing the final version very soon. Look out for a Crowdfunding on this project so you can be a part of it and receive something special as a gift from me.
Each track on the album has a connection and relates to events and past experiences that have occurred in my life. The City Falls was inspired by the Batman movie ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ so to speak a dark force over takes a capital city and they’re calling out for a hero to save it.

There’s a great music scene and many venues to play and perform. I moved to London 7 years ago to push my music and gain more exposure. I feel the music business have massively changed in terms of A&R scouts not going to venues anymore and sending off demos to labels is not the way it is done. However with youtube, soundcloud and other platforms your able to push your music around the world for free. Build and choose your own following and monitor who is listening to you and being able to personally interact with your fans.
