I’m telling stories that speak to me and throw light on tough topics like Heroine addiction and homelessness. It’s important to me and I’m hopeful that people will listen to the lyrics and not only have an opinion but passion the story.

The Music…
I write in a number of genres. When I write music it’s important to me that I’m able to tell a story with my music and my songs. All my music and songs are relatable and people can connect with the storyline in one way or another. That is what is most important to me as an artist, that I’m able to connect with my audience.

I’m also looking to collaborate on future work in my genre.

The music business is…
ever changing and evolving. I would say that the pros currently are that being Indie Artist’s, we have a lot of freedom to express ourselves and no real restraints other than having more Cash to get our music out there. Cons: it’s so difficult to break into the inner circle of the music business. So many artist, songwriters, musicians are attempting to be heard on a grand scale. With that being said, Record Labels, Publishers and producers build what I would say, an impenetrable wall around themselves to protect their time and focus.

Georgia..
I currently live in Atlanta GA. There is huge Hip Hop music scene in and around Atlanta. There is a number of talented producers, writers and performers in this part of the country. Music, artistry, acting is moving to the forefront in the Atlanta area. It’s a great place to be if you’re an artist.

I pick up a candle…
was written to bring awareness to opiate addiction and opiate related deaths in this country. Currently there is 1.5 million heroin users in the USA. 91 people die a day in our country due to opiate related deaths. Currently over 1000 babies a day are born in this country that are addicted to Heroin. Growing up I lost a very dear friend to opiate addiction and currently my nephew is a struggling heroin addict. My nephew and dear friend was my inspiration in writing “I pick up a candle”.

Inspired…
Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney and Elton John. Why? Simply, these gentlemen are perhaps the greatest songwriters of our time. People will be playing their music for the next 200-300 years. Their artistry, talent is a gift to society.
