Music Business…
I feel that the music business today offers a lot of avenues to explore your potential as a musician. Social media is such a huge resource of tools “how-to’s” and a great launching pad to distribute your music and brand. You definitely want to do your research and use caution when collaborating on efforts as not all are reliable. I think it is extremely important to have a good foundation to start from consisting of a solid support system and a strong belief in your talent. People are going to share their feedback good, bad and indifferent. I’ve found that if you go into this knowingly then you can learn how to handle and appreciate this to better hone in on the direction of your art/music. You have to own who you are and be comfortable in your own skin. No one else has what you have and there is a place for everyone.

I most admire SIA…
At this point in my life I think I would like 5 minutes with SIA. Her approach to music is so inspiring. She loves to create and sing. It’s not about the fame. It’s about relating and connecting through music. It’s a universal language we all share. The fact that she uses wigs as a means to keep her identity somewhat hidden and not in the forefront so that she can maintain some sense of a personal life really relates with me. I am not doing this for the fame. I want to be heard. If a listener finds value in a song I’ve written or can relate and feel something from it that is the ultimate compliment. I want to be noticed for my talent not my appearance. It’s the music that should speak to you.

Have A Nice Day…
is a song I wrote about my journey to finally pursue my dream of becoming a songwriter. It’s a metaphor for the ride (experiences) and the traffic jams (obstacles) expected along the way and the courage to overcome them and continue my in my pursuit to achieve my dream.

I am fortunate to have a great support system of family and friends who believe in me. They all came together and lent their talents to produce the video for this song. We used Colorado as the backdrop to this video and my co-star is Charlie (my dog).

My debut album is called Religion…
This is a collection of songs I wrote in hopes of showcasing my ability to write for a variety of genres. After several years of ghost writing for local groups I decided to embark on my own project and to record a compilation of songs in hopes that it would get noticed by potential recording labels/music artists and ultimately land me the dream job of writing for upcoming talent and/or already established performers. It has been such a learning experience for me and I have enjoyed all of the feedback from my listeners as I’ve taken this into consideration in my approach to writing my second album which is currently under production and due to be released in 2017.

Colorado Springs…
I live in beautiful Colorado Springs. There is a lot of talent here. We have a great music scene that can be experienced in the dive bars sprinkled throughout the small cities of Manitou and Old Colorado City to larger venues downtown like The Gold Room, Stargazers or The Black Sheep.
