an odd one to me, especially now. There are a lot of artists giving up on labels and making their own way, I’m glad to see it. I feel like it’s only the horror stories that get spread when it comes to labels and artist management, so I’m happy to see that people are realizing they can do it by themselves.

Lin Manuel Miranda or Hanz Zimmer, both of them are incredibly talented song writers. I would just want to pick their brain a bit. Film score has always been something I have wanted to get into, I moved to California a few years ago to pursue it. Miranda and Zimmer both know how to tell a story with music in such a unique way and it pushes me to try and add little nuances to music to give it a little more feeling and depth.

This Is Me Now is about being in a different place in our lives, not necessarily in a bad place, just something different. For Chad, he went through a rough breakup a few years ago and now he is at a prime point in his life. For me (Clint), I had amazing opportunities in my past and i was working on accomplishing dreams I had since I was young, but i got spooked along the way and bailed… the song has a unique meaning to both of us, so does the entire ep. we were always halfway on the same page with every song.
We are releasing our full ep for free at promo.wearesofarsogood.com . Our music will be available at major digital distributors, but we want to stress that we just want people to hear what we have to say.
We like to think our album will be emotional on a more adult level, dealing with things that we have only recently had to deal with in our adult lives and how we handled it or how we wish we had handled it. We definitely wanted to hit people hard with the music and get them to feel what we feel.

I’m probably the wrong person to ask about the music scene here. I’ve been out of it for a while. Chad keeps up with it pretty well. there are some great band here and a few are doing big things. they set the bar high for us and we hope to follow suit.
