GETTING TO KNOW TYLER GOMEZ
by Jacqueline Jax host of A.V.A Live Radio
You can expect authenticity from my new music. In my new songs I talk a lot about Love and Relationships, both the good and bad parts. I also talk about very personal experiences that have happened to me in my life that I think a lot of people can relate with.
Song name: Somebody
Music Genre/ category : Alternative Pop
I feel like there are just so many people including myself, who experience the feeling of being lonely while they’re single. especially after getting out of a relationship or just on a random day. I wrote what I was feeling that day, with my guitar and a notebook. I talked about how I just want somebody who is going to be there for me, and who I can rely on, somebody I can support, and somebody who can support me.

I live in Central California….
The music scene is small, but not tiny. There’s a lot of various genres, there’s everything from hip hop, to rock, to pop.
Music business …
I think that the music industry is just like any other business. You just have to play it smart and invest your money right. There are a lot of people who can, and will take advantaged of you. But, If you are serious about being an Artist, Producer, or Songwriter, it is definitely possible to be successful in this industry. You just have to know your product, audience, and goal. One thing that I wish I would have known about earlier when I started are Split Sheets. I didn’t know I was able to receive royalties for songs that I would write. being 16 and new to everything, I didn’t really know about the business side of the music industry. I was just excited to be doing what I love.
There was this time when I was working with a sketchy songwriter that would take advantaged of me as a producer. for example, one time I recorded a whole track and they said that that track was going to be for me. Fast forward to a few days later, and I call the songwriter excited to write and record to my new song, and they tell me that my track has been sold to another artist. I was shocked! Especially after I find out after talking with the artist. The singer had no idea that the track was mine or that I wrote it. They were told that the songwriter had made it. There are just so many people out there who try to take advantaged of you. You just have to be careful and do research on who you work with. But not everyone is bad in the industry. Like now I work with a bunch of amazing people who are industry professionals and are in my opinion, geniuses. I work with songwriters who written for Rihanna and Britney Spears. Producers who worked with Beyoncé, Usher, and Mariah Carey, audio engineers who have recorded Justin Bieber, and a vocal instructor who worked with Michael Jackson, and Aretha Franklin. I work side by side with these people and have the opportunity to learn from them, and I am very grateful for that. I believe that as long as you have a dream and a flame that drives you, anything is possible. No matter who you are.
I would love to have 5 minutes alone with….
Ed Sheeran. I admire his songwriting and overall style as an artist. His music is very genuine and he is able to connect with his audience during his concerts. I aspire to be able to perform as good as him one day in front of thousands of people each night.
