The music business is difficult.
It takes a special and determined and consistent person to survive in saturated market. The music business is always changing so you must stay up with new technology to connect with your fan base.

The pros of being independent mainly fall in the area of artistic control.
The cons fall in the area of budget. The pros of being signed to a label include resources of an already established network with a budget. The cons fall in the area of artistic control. At the end of the day it is a business so you must always keep fan base and numbers in mind.

I think you should release singles.
I think it is a better way to keep the attention and connect with new fans. Once you develop a great fanbase with engaging fans then drop your album. I’d rather have several regions talking about one single. This gives your brand extra momentum.

Social media offers so many ways to connect with fans.
You can touch the whole world with one single button. I use it for marketing and promotion purposes to establish and connect with undiscovered fans.

I would like to have 5 minutes with Nas.
I really respect the level of intelligence that he contributed to the hip hop game.

Yes, I do think it is too much emphasis on being current and trendy.
I’d rather be innovative. I like to think outside the box before making artistic decisions. If you get too predictable it can get boring.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone

I started off my journey…
performing various shows, festivals, and local television programs in North Carolina. Once I connected with a solid fan base in my state I started to branch out to other regions and states to establish relationships and grow more fan base. My fans are like my family. My inspiration comes from the greats in the hip hop game that laid the foundation from me. Always give respect to the ones who paved the way.

Bahloo Smurf- Commotion featuring Young Country (produced by Enlite)

Commotion is all about fun, energy,
and just letting loose and being yourself. In the video I had the chance to work with a talented upcoming model named Zelvonia Swain. This production was directed by Lucid Dreaming Pictures.

I’ve connected with a very talented and unique producer
on the west coast named Enl1te. His production was one of a kind. After listening to the production a couple of times the magic started to happen. I decided to feature a talented artist and protégée of mine Young Country. Once I gave him the format of the song he dropped his verse. My engineer Eddie located at Diamond life studios added an awesome mix to the song adding a little bit of extra flavor.

When you listen to Bahloo Smurf you should expect positivity,
originality, creativity, and innovation. After listening you will be able to make a personal connection with the song and just be yourself and have fun.

North Carolina is truly the hidden Mecca for talent.
I would bring attention to Greensboro, Raleigh, and Charlotte. No matter what type of music you like you will find it here. I love to walk on the beach and Mexican food.
