Inspiration…
The minute I started working on my album I knew I wanted to create a song to honor our veterans and members of our military. My inspiration started back when I was 5 years old. After 9/11 I didn’t understand much of what was going on. But what I did know was bad people were hurting Americans and my heroes, members of the military were fighting to keep our country free. I wanted to promote patriotism like my grandmother, Randi Dale did in WWII. At the age of 5 my grandmother was the cover of the WWII war Bonds at the age of 5. With the help from Oklahoma Women Magazine and local photographer I was put on their cover promoting the Patriot Bonds. I also raised money for phone cards, sent packages overseas to those who serve our country and stand on street corners waving signs “Support our Troops” and waving America Flags.Anastasia Richardson - Where Would We Be

While promoting patriotism, veterans would sit with me and tell me their story’s and as I grow up I didn’t forget their stories. I wanted to take what I learned and put it into words. Our country wouldn’t be what it is without our service men and women giving their all, “Freedom isn’t Free”. Now with my song/music video complete, “Where Would We Be”, I’m ready to share my message with the world.

The Goal..
Looking forward to performing my music around the world. I need everyone help by watching and sharing my video with the world. Together we can show them how much we appreciate what they do for us.

Making the Video..
I have no budget to hire a production company but I had amazing family and friends that were willing to help. Tulsa photographer, Stephen Jones, who filmed me singing along with filming the two young boys playing ball with a local navy recruiter David Johnson. My mother was able to get the amazing military footage from vintage to current footage. My mother and I are not professional film editor but together we picked out the image and edited the story I wanted to share. I wanted to create a video that shows how much they sacrifice for our country and we most not forget them. My dream would be to have my video shown in every form of media from home computer, playing in retail location to national news and TV shows. I was very touch and honored when a few days ago I found out that my song, “Where Would We Be” was played at a veterans funeral. Press Release:
Anastasia Richardson, an eighteen year old singer and songwriter from Tulsa, OK, has set out to make a difference in the world. With only two weeks left of her senior year at Tulsa’s Edison High School, Anastasia’s mission is simple yet powerful: she wants to change the world one song at a time. Her latest music video, “Where Would We Be” is spearheading those changes and simultaneously honoring the United States veterans, past and present, who have served our country and kept it free. Making a difference runs in Anastasia’s family. During World War 2, her grandmother, Randi Johnson-Dale, was a young child model in New York City and appeared on the cover of the July, 1944 cover of Popular Photography magazine at the age of five in a promotion for the United States war bonds. After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Anastasia wanted to help her country like her grandmother did. With the help of Oklahoma Woman magazine, 5 year old’s vision became a reality when she was featured on the cover promoting the new Patriot Savings bond and, most importantly, promoting patriotism and unity amongst Americans. Anastasia’s first album, “I Am Beautiful” was released in March, 2015. The album is titled after her anti-bullying song by the same name and also features her veterans inspired song, “Where Would We Be.” Anastasia sums up her inspiration for the song by saying, “I hope you will join me in honoring our nation’s heroes and expressing my thanks for everything they do.”
