The music business is tough.
It is hard to get a leg up without major connections! Business is business in any field! You decide to play the game or you don’t! If you decide to play you need the guts to go strong and not complain!
There are pros to not having major connections in this business!
We’ve learned that when we start to make a name for ourselves, people jump onboard very quickly. People love being responsible for discovering a “new thing”! We are showing people that we will be sticking around; once we started letting people know that, we’ve yielded major results! Also one of the major pitfalls is that we have to do so much ourselves nowadays because labels and managers want something that seems 100% sure to succeed!
10.We feel that at the stage that singles are the best way to go, due to the level of success that we’ve achieved. There isn’t enough popularity or representation on our side to generate all of the benefits of a full album, but we are approaching it.
We didn’t focus on social media for a while.
We were all about the shows and getting better as performers. It wasn’t until twitter helped us to get our first song played on FM radio and over in Europe did we focus on social media more heavily. We realize that it is very necessary to focus on social media, and we love it now!
I would love to have 5 minutes alone with Tom Petty!
The reason for this is that I’ve recently learned that he had major court battles with his labels. He won simply because of his rock solid integrity and will. He vowed to never give up, and he went through a lot of tough times. The guy took his band and drove from Florida to Los Angeles and got a record deal in two weeks by, “door to door knocking”, to record labels! That is inspiring, especially when he kept doing it after being escorted off of the property a few times! “Will Power”!
We have found that some professionals think that they have all of the answers;
really they are the ones just copying and telling us to do the trendy thing. Sometimes we agree, and other times we don’t. We look for a balance. We don’t have all of the answers for being successful in this wild, crazy, and wonderful business, but we steer clear of those that claim that they do have all of the answers. We like to keep our minds open to an infinite number of ideas!

I got my start in music singing at a very early age!
I used to dance on a regular basis and sing to the music.

Maurice, the guitar player just came up with a riff
that sounded a lot like someone galloping on a horse, at least that’s what I imagined. It gave me a feeling of chasing after something even when all of the odds are against you. I go after it because it is all that is deemed wholesome, satisfying, loving, and true. You’ll wait, no matter how long it takes!
The music of “In The Stars” is joyous, exciting, inspiring, and liberating!
We wish to tap into all types of emotion with our music. Human beings are multidimensional in heart soul and mind! We have anger, pain, frustration, and we need a way of dealing with that. We also have love, warmth, and aspirations! We need to tap into all of it! If you ask us…music is one of the most perfect ways to connect, have council, celebrate, and inspire with people all over the world. That is what we seek to do!

There are a lot of musicians and venues in the greater Los Angeles area but sadly there is no real scene. It is very business out here but it is a game that we are more than willing to play.
