My feelings about the music industry are somewhat mixed.
The pros are that music for me as a person is an outlet to express my feelings, and is a way to escape all the negatives of life, as one who never seemed to fit into anything. The cons are that it is really hard to get your music heard unless you happen to know the right people and they give you a shot. So I feel extremely LUCKY to have AVAliveradio.com for supporting me and I am FOREVER grateful to be given an opportunity like this.

I would like to have 5 minutes alone with Slipknot and also Metallica.
They have inspired me so much. After hearing Metallica on the radio station “93 Rock” back in ’07, I fell in love with that band. After hearing Fade to Black on Guitar Hero Metallica, it drove me to learn how to play it on the guitar when I was 16 or 17: that song is what made me strive to become a guitarist. Much love to Metallica!

I would also love 5 minutes alone with Slipknot
to thank them for what they’ve taught me over the years. From the second I laid eyes on them, I was HOOKED! From the masks to the jumpsuits and everything about them, they’ve taught me to just be myself & not be afraid to show the world what I’ve got to offer. They also have taught me how to do impressive guitar leads and rhythm riffs just by learning their songs and solos and also watching them play live. My drumming style also comes from them: Joey
Jordison is a machine on the drums, and in my opinion he is THE best drummer in the entire world. They all have taught me just to be yourself and not what people think. I imitate them as much as I can, and then try to weave that together with my own style.

This song is about a girl that I was with for a year when she suddenly left me.
As I was dealing with all my emotions inside, I picked up my guitar, hit “record” on my phone, and just made this song on the spot. It kinda just came out of me. It’s about the sadness and frustration of being left again, and feelings of how tired I felt of people just walking all over me and treating me like dirt.

Perfect Imperfection

You can expect a very unique and interesting sound:
along with hardcore riffs and blistering solos, you can also expect some sad and emotional songs, and to feel my feelings about things that I have gone through. It’s about feelings of being cast aside and left behind and not being understood. What’s great about it? And how was it meant to be heard and understood? Well, it tells you a story about what has happened to me personally and how it has affected me. What’s the significance of the upcoming album to me and others? It means everything to me personally and for others it’s a message that no matter what happens in life, you can get through it.

I live in Raleigh, NC, and the music scene here is very competitive.
A cool place that I’ve done shows is the Lincoln theater in downtown Raleigh, where lots of famous bands have also played.
