GETTING TO KNOW CRAIG RAYMO

I am excited to be in the music business!
Music is my life, it’s been there for me in my darkest nights and on my brightest days. I don’t think I would want to live in a world without music, it’s my escape from reality. I get lost in it. I recently have received some of the best reviews of my music ever in my career and have won four songwriting best song titles in the last year and a half, it’s crazy and I am humbled that my music is making a difference in people’s lives. My song One Love One World was used as a learning aid to teach English to children in Pang Liu Village in China and is a featured song on the United Nations Project UNESCO website New Songs For Peace dot org. It’s an amazing feeling to know that because of the Internet, children on the other side of the world have been touched and moved by my song and lyrics. Some of the video footage from that China experience is used at the beginning of the music video and gives me chills everytime! I think it’s a very exciting time to be an indie artist. I am having a blast!
I would love to have 5 minutes alone with Paul McCartney.
He is the king of writing pop songs and would love to share some inspiration! He writes and sings songs that transport you to another place and that’s what I strive to do with my music.

‘Be Myself’ is an anti-bullying pop anthem about having the courage
to just be yourself no matter what anyone else thinks. “Be who you wanna be!” The song is dedicated to anyone who has ever been bullied, teased or been made fun of for being different. I grew up gay and was bullied and teased as a teenager and young adult and had to pretend that I was straight to keep from being bullied, verbally and physically. I wanted to create a song about embracing your individuality and giving back an empowering song about encourage to possibly help others who may be victims to help them with their self-confidence.
‘Be Myself’ won Best Song in the 2016 Worldwide Music Contest
out of over 1200 original song submissions from songwriters all over the world. It is available as a single.I write uplifting songs about life and love.

I am an anti-bullying advocate and want to inspire people
with my music that is best experienced by listening on headphones! My EP One Love One World is electronic pop groovy-liscious-ness! The title track is a pop reggae sing a long jam One Love One World, an upbeat song about equality, diversity, unity, human rights and world peace. Spin The Needle (On The 45) is an homage to Prince and is a retro funk look back on hanging by the pool in the summertime listening to 45 RPM records! (My favorite line “put the yellow piece of plastic down in the middle”) Moment (Acoustic) is a song promoting suicide prevention awareness and was written after my cousin took his own life with the hope it can help prevent someone else from doing the same. Moment won Best Alternative Recording in the 2016 Indie Music Channel Awards. Take it Slow is a funky song about life in the fast lane that suggests we “chill, kick back and take it slow”
I currently live in Orlando, Florida.
There is a pretty happening music scene here that is growing. I love to go to places like The Social and The Beecham where you get that intimate feel when listening to a band or artist.
