The music business is shifting more towards the artists and independents’ as opposed to be driven my traditional music, oligarchs and corporates. Simply put; If you have a good song, or three chords and the truth you stand, the possibility of benefitting from social media and peer to peer marketing to get your music heard. If it is a good song at its core, then it will rise to the top and get you attention. That is my theory and why I am an independent. Simply put; If you have a good song, or three chords and the truth you stand, the possibility of benefitting from social media and peer to peer marketing to get your music heard. If it is a good song at its core, then it will rise to the top and get you attention. That is my theory and why I am an independent. I believe my songs are good and engaging to the soul.
I would love to have 5 minutes with the late great producer,
songwriter/singer, Curtis Mayfield. Mayfield is a huge inspiration to me.
I prefer to remember Mayfield as a progressive songwriter
who had a strong narrative of material during the US civil rights struggle of the late 1960’sand 70’s. Mayfield’s musical depth in terms of his production and influence covers:Staple singers, Natural Fours, Curtom record label out of Chicago that has given him a reach for soul music fans everywhere. His music and influence can still be heard on radio today, where ever my plane lands and I get a cab ride to my hotel Mayfield’s music always seem to be on the radio.
Just Like That
The song is a gift for the romantic.
A true romantic believes’ in giving love another try in spite of previous heart breaks and bad relationships.
My song take’s an upbeat view that all love is good for the soul and not looking back on previous bad relationships might be the tonic for future relationships. My lyrical conclusion is all new romantic relationships come’s with risk and a bit of ‘previous’, my song is about the simplicity of human relationship between man and woman whilst learning from past mistakes and getting heard in a partnership. The lyrics: “stamp my feet, beat my chest, holla at the top of my voice, now that I got your attention” is a narrative of how important it is for individuals in a romantic relationship to be heard and, love, the ultimate energy of the human spirit can happen, Just Like That, without any warning, when you least expect it…and that is a beautiful thing.
My music is uncomplicated acoustic guitar arranged with a traditional soul voice
telling stories on behalf of those whose voices’ have been removed.

The Life and Times of a Storyteller, available on iTunes and Spotify, provides easy listening of a number of stories related to First Nation peoples’ including the popular song: Jungari, a tale of Story Teller living and sharing stories with Aboriginal peoples of Western Australian desert, telling their story and mine.
I live in the remote desert town of Alice Springs in central Australia.
I have traveled here from a small town in southern England called Luton where I was raised. The need to travel, tell stories and a change of pace and lifestyle is important to me.
The town of Alice Springs attracts artists
and creatives from all over the world and the music scene in this frontier town is vibrant and you can find talented musicians’ and artist in the region.
