The Legend: A lot of music is starting to sound the same.
It seems a little too controlled.
Young Forest: I don’t even listen to other artists as much as I used to.
Ab-Soul & Tyler The Creator are cool though, I’ll listen to them while i’m cleaning my room or something.
The Legend : A con right now is having a different style
and getting people to try to adapt to this, but that can’t stop me because i know i have to keep pushing forward.
Young Forest: One pro is that we’ve gotten one of our singles on iTunes
from our album “LEGENDARY WEIRDOS” So i’m hype about that. One con is basically what The Legend said, but that’s not gonna stop my brain from outputting weird music.
The Legend: I just feel like releasing music is releasing music
Young Forest : Man just being heard is good.
Whether its one piece of what you worked hard on or the whole thing.
The Legend : It’s easy to connect with people & share music that way.
Young Forest : The fact that social media connected
us to a wonderful person like you to be interviewed by is a huge benefit.
The Legend : Eminem.
Because he is the main reason why i love music. His style is different and inspirational.
Young Forest : Could I like, split the whole 5 minutes in half,
2.5 minutes for Ab-soul & 2.5 with Tyler. Cause Ab-Soul is a slept on Lyricist & Tyler The Creator is just…Weird. Its perfect.
The Legend : Sometimes in the industry
yeah its too much emphasis on being trendy, so i have to find my own style that can stick around no matter what.
Young Forest: Being yourself is a trend that’ll never be out of style

The Legend: I started hanging with my cousin,
saw that he was making music and that’s what motivated me to start. Music helps me with releasing emotion.
Young Forest : When i was younger I saw my brother come in with a mix tape &
showed it to my mom. They had played it in a CD player and i was wondering if my brother could put his thoughts into music, why couldn’t I?

Listening to the instrumental that Young Forest made, I added how i felt.
The Legend: Just different.
We’re putting out music that people aren’t used to. There’s no other way to explain it. Different sounds & emotions coming throughout each track makes us limitless when it comes to genre.
Young Forest Yeah.
However I’m feeling at a point in time basically is how an instrumental gets created. So when we add lyrics to it, it only enhances the mood.
We live in Louisville, Kentucky.
The music scene varies in whichever part of town you visit. For example, If you visit 4th Street Live there are tons of country music performers. When it comes to other places in Louisville people listen to artists such as Bryson Tiller, Kevin Gates, Montana of 300, artists of that nature.
Not really a club person.
Young Forest : Walking outside anywhere is cool. Most of the time I’m in the house making
music with my brother The Legend
The Legend : Getting feedback from music,
whether it’s positive or negative. As long as people are listening to the music I’m happy.
Young Forest : Producing is fun & so is Xbox.
Also taking pictures of nature. It’s cool to me because i get to show the world as i see it.
