I feel it is extremely competitive
and it is a very tough business so you have to have thick skin, that’s a given! If you don’t, you might as well throw it in the bin now. It made me learn not to rely on people. If you want to be successful in the music business, you really have to be proactive and not just wait for others to give it to you.
A massive pro was about a year ago I felt like I wasn’t good enough.
I was very negative about myself. My mum, who is a coach, told me that I was good enough and that if I wanted to be successful I just needed to go for it and stop giving myself a hard time. Since then, I have really focused my mind and pushed myself. You have really got to believe in yourself and go for on what you want.
Currently I’m only working on singles.
I do want an album eventually. I like to write a song, record it and if it’s good enough make a video for it. I love music videos, they are my favorite! I love trying to act! Haha. I suppose this is my strategy.
The good thing about social media is you can really connect with your fans.
I love to see some of the comments. It’s really nice to know people out there appreciate my music.

Sometimes there is pressure to be current
as I might think I have a better chance of becoming successful. But then I realize being yourself and doing the music you love is so much easier than trying to be something else. I just go with what I like doing and melodies and lyrics I like.

This is for anyone going through a hard time there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
My mum has always been a great performer so I guess it runs through the family.
However, I’ve been writing songs since I was about 8! I used to have a drawer full of songs instead of clothes.
Bedroom Walls:
It’s about a time in my life where I felt quite down.
It’s quite a sad song. I really wanted to write a song during that time. It was a great way for me to express how I felt. And just so you know I’m in a way better place now! Haha.

My cousin, Joe Prince, actually did the instrumental for it.
And I wrote over it. Then I went into the studio and said I really want this song to be raw and showcase my voice. And that’s how it went.
I write my songs based on different stories,
sometimes my own sometimes other people. The song, Bedroom walls will relate to a lot of people I think as everyone goes through certain periods in their life where they feel down and awful but try to hide it from their friends and family. And hopefully knowing I’ve been through it as well could help some people out there.
I live in a small town in Cheshire.
Everyone tends to know everyone, so it is a great place. Manchester is just down the road that has a great music scene. I love to go to Manchester for the night out with my friends as it is really lively. I hang out with my friends and just chill when I am not doing music.
