I guess they’re no more boundaries between you
and your audience, and that’s a really good thing. On the other hand, I find it difficult to stand out above the noise.

Music is my life,
I always made money from music (producing albums, making music for films and advertising, playing live etc), so I guess I only have pros!

If you’re an established artist,
I think that’s ok to release an album and then go touring to support it. People are actually expecting your album to be released. But if you’re not a established artist, you need to catch people’s attention. If you release an album, you have only one chance to get attention, traction, promotion etc. There’s your only shot. But if you release singles, you have a chance to get people’s attention every time you release one.

I mainly use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube.
Although I have a different approach to each one of them, I try to create content that ultimately will drive people to my universe and therefore get them to know my music.

I guess I’ve never been too trendy
because although I try to listen to lots of new things, I end up listening to “not so current” artists. Generally speaking, the artists that have been on the charts lately don’t appeal to me. I guess nowadays there’s a lot of emphasis on the production side so the songwriting is getting poorer and poorer.

I guess all of our struggles are food for our souls, right?
It’s the only way of learning. You can’t be a jazz pianist in a year (at least most people can’t). So every struggle I had in my life is part of what I am today. Good or bad, here I am!

Having the opportunity to make music for a living
is something not many people can achieve. I consider myself a lucky guy to be a professional musician and to be able to live only from it.

Osho. This man was a mix between a sage,
a philosopher, a humorist and a warrior (for defying the laws of tradition).

I started studying piano and keyboards when I was 8.
When I turned 13 I remember seeing a RUSH (the Canadian band) music video, which drove me insane. I immediately started to learn the bass too, and soon I formed a RUSH tribute band. That was the very beginning.

On Sale

“On Sale” is about today’s music industry,
or at least the way I see it. We are being bombarded with information 24 hours a day, so most of this data is disposable. In a humorous way, we tell people to buy our song quick, before they realize that we are a fraud.

The first version of this song was previously recorded in Portuguese
by my previous band. I really liked the music, but not the lyrics. So I decided to re-arrange the song and write the lyrics in English, and I guess it turned out myth better than the first one.

The new EP already received some really good reviews,
and some people really paid attention to every single detail on it. Musically, it’s everything I wanted it to be: a solid rock core mixed with unusual elements, such as Brazilian music, electronic music, and even jazz. Lyrically, it contains large doses of humor, but (I hope) used for a good purpose.

I live in São Paulo, Brazil.
The scene here is obscene. There’s almost zero space for original music (unless you’re an established artist). People only do cover songs. The rest of Brazil seems to be even worse. I have already performed in the US and Europe, and I always wanted to grow our name and maybe move from here.
