GETTING TO KNOW ALLIE SEALEY

I live in Northern California…
and there is a wide range of music here. Generally country music is found in the Sacramento area of California. San Francisco has some of the top places to eat, but I am a big supporter of street performers because I am one myself. Therefore, hitting pier 39 is always a great time- there are tons of shops and street performers.
You can see me singing my songs live streaming on periscope and Busker. I hope you’ll come follow my journey as a songwriter and connect with me. My music is very personal to me but it gives me the most pleasure when I am able to connect with individuals one on one through it.
That moment is a blessing.
New Music…
I am going to be releasing new music in the next thirty days. My music has a blues country sound. I took care of my grandfather for many years and playing music has been a tool to overcome life’s peaks and valleys. I had the privilege and honor of being my grandfather’s primary caregiver and best friend for the last several years. Last year our journey together took us to utilizing hospice care. I look back on the abundance of memories we shared. I cherish that I was able to play music to him every single day. The last night we spent together he was a bit restless. I asked him if he would like for me to play a few tunes. He reached over and turned off the television and a calmness overcame him. I played, “Stars” by Grace Potter, “Fly Me to the Moon” by Frank Sinatra and “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion. I specifically remember thinking, “Who am I going to play for now?” Everything I do is authentic and comes from the heart. I am looking to relate to people who have overcome heartbreak in a variety of different ways. My music is meant to be felt.

Those Eyes…
This song is an original I wrote. The yearning for love from a father figure to relationships with men throughout life created the storyline in this particular original. It isn’t until the woman realizes she loves herself and that her journey with herself is enough to fulfill this vacancy her heart feels. Strength, courage, and determination accompany this song. It was recorded in a talented musician’s recording studio in northern California.
Music business…
Well, the music business has taught me to go after my dreams and make them a reality. It has taught me to define my own path and adapt to change. Never get your hopes up and don’t believe anything that is not happening in the present moment. People will promise you mountains, countries, outer space, etc. Don’t let that bring you down. The biggest thing I can tell you I have learned is that no matter if I am playing to one person, like my grandpa, or 70,000 people – it is treated the same. This is just what I do. I am thankful for the support that I have and I try to grow my musicianship.
I would love to have 5 minutes alone with….
There are so many people I can think of at this very moment. Ronni Van Zant (God rest his soul), but if I could resurrect him and interview him I would. His soulw as pure and genuine and it left a mark in the music. This is why Lynyrd Skynyrd is still being heard all over the world to this day. They are the greatest band to ever live, in my opinion. I am so honored and grateful that they shared a video of mine on their facebook page some months ago along with a write up in CountryRebel. It is a true blessing and gift to be on this path, no matter how hard it is. It is easy to get discouraged, but the Roman empire was not built overnight and neither will musical success. Also, is anything worthwhile really built that quickly anyway? I appreciate where I am today because I know how much I have fought to get here, even as an independent, unsigned indie artist. I will continue to push on because it is in my blood to.
