Duke and the Others – Prisoner’s Cinema
The guitar solo will make you listen much more intently and leave you wondering about this band and the artists behind it. I was on the fence when I first heard this single but the skills of the musicians is what really caught my attention and inspired me to dig deeper.
Prisoner’s Cinema is inspired by a phenomenon of a sensory light show often experienced by people subjected to prolonged periods of darkness. This experience has mostly been reported by prisoners, but also by pilots, lorry drivers, and people in deep meditation. Sensory deprivation can somehow stimulate the senses, creating something from nothing. The track was written and recorded remotely by Ashford Andrews-North and Dane Baker, featuring Joe Green on the drums and production by Dave Sanderson.
