GETTING TO KNOW JOHN MAINES

I work from a studio in Pittsburg that I like to use. I’ve trying to work out of Nashville but just haven’t found that deep connection with my sound in the studios I’ve experienced up till now. Just got to go with what works.
I have a music video in the works called “The Ghost”. It’s inspired by Waylon Jennings, I intend on using his image as the central focus of the music video.
Inspired…
I’m inspired by Waylon Jennings. This guy is my idol. His songs had meaning and he was a guy who did things his own way. He had a sound that when ever you heard a Waylon Jennings song you got chills.
The music business…
has changed over the years. I guess I would have to say there’s a lot more of a chance for artist like me in todays world with the internet and being able to get the music out to so many people.
I live in Woodland Pennsylvania.U.S.A.
Other than the festivals, not much of a music scene here. That’s why I travel the country to places like Virginia, Texas and Tennessee.
I Can’t Remember Her Name…
This song is about a girl I met and as the song goes I was so interested in her that even after being with her for a time I never really knew her name and to this day I am not really sure what it was. Sometimes I get so involved I never gave it much thought at all.
The songs are all true storys of what I have been through or seen in my life. That’s why this album is so special to me. What makes it a great album is the sound that I wanted to go with the songs.
