What defines “Success” to you..
Success to me – when it comes to music – is making songs that people can relate to. If I touch the heart of just one person, it is a success. Of course, like most musicians, I love to get my music out there and have it played a lot. When I get positive comments from other people, it really makes my day.

What piece of music advice forever changed your way of thinking. I think the most important advice came from my father:

“There isn’t a right way to make music. If the music sounds good and you can feel it, it is good.”

This song is about…
The song Paint a Picture is about feeling the need to capture a moment of beauty. The kind of beauty that comes from true love and affection, from feeling the world around us and the power of life it contains. It’s like catching a glimpse of a deeper meaning, and the trying to hold on to it.

The lyrics were written on night while I was watching a movie on TV and suddenly felt like writing – my lyrics often start that way. In about 10 minutes, I had written down the lyrics and went down to my studio in the basement to record it. The first draft of the song was finished the same night.

Power Of INTuition is my solo project, where I write the music I feel like and express my own ideas. I try not to set up limitations resulting from a specific image or music style. I guess my image is being a person of change, always seeking out new ideas. My sound is a bit retro but I’m always trying to give it a personal twist.

I produce on Logic and use Native instruments bundles. These days the sounds available in production are so authentic sounding compared to 10 years ago. I’ve played and learned different instruments since I was 6 years old and typically focus on pursuing a different instrument as often as possible. I like the challenge and tackling new things aligns well with my energy.
