Music Business..
The difficulty is that I have to make all the decisions. I need to manage the PR, create my ads, do all the networking, get my own gigs. It would be great to be a part of a label to help me out with this, these duties takes away from the creative process. I am fortunate to have a network of family and friends that help me with many of these tasks. I have met and networked with several music executives, artists and other talented individuals through opportunities provided by the Popular Music Studies Program at William Paterson University. I recently collaborated with new artists as a singer but also as a producer. This has allowed me to broaden my expertise and make me more marketable. Right now one of my biggest obstacles has been getting into clubs because I am not 21 but that will be resolved in a year! I’m getting there. I’m gradually figuring everything out.

I have been keeping this new stuff under wraps…
but I would like to take this opportunity on AVA Live Radio to announce that I do have a record I’ve been working on called “DragonHeart”. The word for the next album is collaboration. I have written and produced most of the songs but I have asked different guest producers, musicians, singers and songwriters to help shape my upcoming album. Lots of surprises! It’s a full story concept album. It’s a journey to confidence and finding yourself.

I live in a small town in New Jersey called Verona…
We’re only about a two mile town. Most of the musicians I knew where from school either in marching band or choir. Where stuff really goes down is in the next town over, Montclair. There’s a lot of DYI musicians who, like a lot of Jersey, seem to really be into rock, blues, jazz and RnB. Fortunately, we live 20 minutes from New York City.

Song name: STARSHINE feat OMNI
Music Genre: Pop/Electro-Pop
was sitting at my sister’s cheering competition waiting for her to go on. I was listening to all these different inspirational, motivational and uplifting dance tracks like Chained to the Rhythm by Katy Perry. It made me think of the environment that we are living in today’s day and age. I wanted to create a song that was a celebration of love, unity and acceptance. This song calls for us to put away our pride and petty differences to come together and fight for what we believe in.

I wrote this song and decided to call my friend, James who goes by the name of “OMNI” who is also a producer and asked him to give my song a listen and see if he could give it his own twist. The outcome was “STARSHINE , a magical experience. The Manchester bombings in England happened the same week that the song was be released, so I dedicated this song to everyone that was effected.

I would love to have 5 minutes alone with….
Mother Monster, Goddess of Love, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta or as most people know her, Lady Gaga. She has always been the one who has on so many different levels emotionally and artistically inspired me. She has motivated me through the hardest of times. She has introduced me to almost all my favorite artists, including electronic producers Zedd, Infected Mushroom and Madeon. She even opened me up to the world of Jazz with her Tony Bennett collaborations. Her visuals, which draw upon iconic superstars like Michael Jackson. Madonna and David Bowie was and still is completely awe inspiring. All I can say… STAR POWER.
