Crawling Solo

I’m glad that I have a day job.
I love to make music. But it´s hard to make money on it. I see it more as a hobby. And as I’m an independent artist I haven´t been in the music business that much.

The pros these days is that you can get your music out there
much easier with the internet and all the music sites. The cons are because it’s much easier it’s also more bands competing for the attention.

If I struggle with for example a riff
I put it aside and maybe use it later on. I must have over hundred songs that haven´t become anything yet. The triumph is when a song almost writes itself.

I would love to have five minutes alone with Rob Halford
in Judas Priest. To sing along with the best singer in the world in those five minutes would have been amazing.

My grandfather was the one who started my music interest.
He had his own big band in younger years and played a lot of instruments. I remember he recorded songs on tapes from the radio he thought I liked and gave them to me. He was my best friend when I was young and I still miss him
after all these years.

Four Walls

The song is about the invisible walls
that we build around us.Instead of talking to people face to face we hide behind a computer screen. I see a lot of people walk around with headphones staring on the screen. They don´t even look up when they cross the street. This song (as all the others) is recorded, mixed and mastered by me in my home studio. I usually get ideas for songs
when I lay in my bed going to sleep. In this case, it was the main riff that popped up first.

I think my new album is a development
from my earlier work. Hopefully you get a bit better on every record you make. Maby you mix better, sing better or play the guitar better. But I does not have to necessarily be that the songs become better than the old ones. And that is what’s cool with music. It´s almost never my personal favorite that goes best on the charts.

I live in a town in Sweden called Boras.
We don´t have that many good rock clubs here. Undergrunden (underground in English) is one of the better ones.
