GETTING TO KNOW IGOR RODNOV – REMEDY FOR ALL

I myself was interested in music since…
I was born (at least this is what my parents tell me). Since childhood (Thanks to my elder brother and my father ) I was listening to all these monsters of Old School of Rock, starting Led Zeppelin, through Alice Cooper to Ozzy and then to Motley Crue. When I was 19 I discovered a bunch of new bands on the horizon such as Seether, Three Days Grace, Shinedown, e t.c. So I can definitely tell you, that all these guys really were my inspiration.
Reflection…
To make a long story short, I personally believe that every person’s behavior is a reflection to everything happening around, starting the society and finishing personal relations. So this is a short sad story of such a reflection.
Well, this song was written in my days of anger and sadness, when I was blaming everyone and everything around, I was at the bottom of life, a loser with bad luck and the only thing I wanted is to get out of this.
The coin always has two sides…
We are musicians and first of all we want to share our feelings with the world through our music. I personally hope that any person can find something familiar, supportive, and encouraging in my lyrics, something, what can guide a person through the darkest times of their days. On the other hand we are living creatures and we need money to live & work. We are now in the middle of our very first album and we seek for any possible way of marketing to make it financially successful.
Nizhny Novgorod, Russia…
Population – over 1.5 million people, and unfortunately there’s no music scene at all. There are many reasons for that but it would take much time to tell about all of them.
Lots of historical places to visit. The city is almost 800 years old, we have our own Kremlin, several walking streets many old building e t.c. But it is better not to visit us during winter ☺
I like being a big boss, you know. Even in a band I’m a manager, this is my image, and my way of life. It’s ok being a boss when I’m at work. But at rehearsals and shows it’s like a pain in the ass, cause you kind a have 4 grownups behaving like 5 year old children.
The music business…
Totally fine. To make more music musicians need money, and that’s ok. At the moment we don’t have any pros cause we are just starting up ☺ I just keep walking Straight ahead to avoid the pitfalls. ☺
Social media…
I like the size of target audience. The challenges in today’s social media music marketing is the Laziness of the overall audience. Too much music on the market, mostly with not enough level of quality, so audience is sick and tired and don’t want to try something new.
Singles vs an albums…
Well, from what I see current trend is to release as many singles as possible and that’s ok, keeps listeners interested.
I would love to have 5 minutes alone with…
Nikki Sixx. I want to show him our music and ask him how he’s got what he has.
Do you find that there is to much emphasis on being current and trendy…
There’s no balance at the moment. Things are moving way too fast and all this “trendy” stuff – I don’t really like it and it is not for rock music.
I am most afraid of… Not reaching my goals
My personal definition of success is..
Name one success story that you are particularly proud of. Explain why you considered this a great success and how you achieved it.
Success is a satisfaction. When you’re satisfied with what you’ve got – you’ve succeeded. I’m still not satisfied, so I don’t have a story for, and hopefully, will never have one till I die – I don’t want to be satisfied, I want to fight till the end.
My over all goal for my life & career is…
To get an opportunity not to think about anything, except music.
3 Ways that I challenge myself and how each one moves me forward towards my goal.
1) I am the one guilty if I don’t get expected result
2) I am the only one to reach the result
3) Stand up, and fight!

We at Remedy For All set up highest possible standards of music quality and our main goal is to reach Rock Music market abroad.
